“All Things New”
“ Anyone who believes in Christ is a new creation. The old is gone! The new has come!” (II Corinthians 5:17 NIV Readers Edition)
In Genesis the creation story presents God as bringing order out of chaos and of forming beauty with colors and contrasts of light. God created mankind in His image and ever since continues to create and renew.
The Bible provides us with many stories that reveal God’s ongoing desire to create and renew. The wonderful truth for us today is that just as God was willing to restore and make things new in the lives of those ancient people, God is still willing to renew us as well. If we look at each moment as an invitation from God to see with new eyes God’s redemptive work through Christ, then we can experience hope and renewal also.
Day 1: A New Thing (Isaiah 43:19-21)
Day 2: New Creation (Psalm 104:24-33)
Day 3: New Shape (Jeremiah 18:1-6)
Day 4: New Expressions (Exodus 31:1-13)
Day 5: New Understanding (Acts 17:19-34)
Day 6: New Life (Ephesians 4:1-31, Acts 11:26)
